The Riviera Association is a nonprofit community organization in Santa Barbara, CA. Their former website was very dated. Although its function is to communicate and share news with the Riviera residents, it lacked visual interest and had functionality issues.
The home page showed a blog post rather than information about the organization — something we would never recommend! And it featured a slider that had stopped working.
There were also UX issues. For example, a number of interior pages needed to be combined for ease of viewing. And the process they had for contacting board members was extremely inefficient.
They asked us to design a modern site with some visual appeal which we achieved with photos that highlighted the beautiful Santa Barbara area, as well as events the Association hosts. We built a clean contemporary WordPress site that looks great and is easy for members to maintain and update. The site accomplished the following:
- Presented the disaster information in a more streamlined way
- Gave them an easy way to post events and important community information
- Created photo galleries
- Showcased their achievements
- Streamlined the way you can contact a board member
As an added bonus, we designed a new logo for them that reflects beautiful Santa Barbara.
