Now that you have a website…

Getting a website is not the same thing as having one.

We’ll keep an eye on things.

You put blood, sweat, and tears into getting a website.  There were multiple revisions of the design.  Text was written, copied, pasted, and then done all over again.  Photos taken, photos discarded. Keywords chosen and tested.  The message honed and honed again.

And then you were finished, and the Internet was better and brighter for having your site.

So you’re done!

Well, not quite.  Just like getting a kitten, you take on the responsibility for a friend and a life.

What are your responsibilities to your website?

  • It needs to be fed.  If you had plans to blog, you need to do that. Don’t leave it to starve.
  • It needs checkups.  Software is updated all the time. You need to make sure all the software that sits behind your website is up to date.
  • It needs to be safe and secure. Your site needs to be protected with strong passwords, intrusion detection, and regular backups.

When we deliver your website, we’ll train you to do all of the above.  For a (very) reasonable fee, we will help you with your content, keep the site up to date,  and manage its security.  We want you and your site to have a long and happy life together.
